About This Project
This Digital Museum is the result of KRCT’s 27-year journey of working alongside survivors, preserving their stories, and insisting that truth and dignity remain at the center of public memory. It is a sacred space where memory is not merely preserved but allowed to speak.
At the heart of this museum are the testimonies of three survivors who have chosen, with extraordinary courage, to share what they endured. In their own words, they carry forward experiences long held in silence, transforming private pain into public testimony that demands to be heard, held, and remembered. Their voices are not distant echoes of the past; they remain present, urgent, and alive.
The Digital Museum reflects KRCT’s long-standing commitment to truth, dignity, and the centering of survivors’ voices. It seeks to challenge the silence that has endured for too long, offering a respectful and safe space where speaking becomes possible, and where stigma begins to lose its hold. More than a place of remembrance, it is a space of witness, where what was once silenced is allowed to exist in its full humanity, and where each story carries the possibility of opening a space for another to follow.
This digital experience was brought to life through the storytelling Web Experiences of SPRIGS RND, whose work transformed these vital testimonies into an accessible and immersive reality.
